We are interested in the spiritual welfare of each child, teen, adult and family in our neighbourhood and everywhere. GLAD TIDINGS is a church with a focus on the Bible and its message of GOD'S KINGDOM. We view the Bible as God's Word and therefore the foundation for all that we try to do. We strive to have an ever expanding ministry and a positive awareness of our responsibilities to the world in which we live.

 

Our church was established in 1846. We feel that God has blessed us richly in so many ways during all these years. We give Him all the praise for all the gladness we enjoy.

 

Our full name is "GLAD TIDINGS CHURCH OF GOD OF THE ABRAHAMIC FAITH." We are affiliated with the Church of God General Conference.

 

The name "Church of God" is based on the Apostle Paul's salutation to the church in Corinth. (1 Cor. 1:2; 2 Cor. 1:1) The subtitle "Abrahamic Faith" distinguishes us from the many other denominations that call themselves Church of God. Abraham was the recipient of many promises from God, and he was a man of great faith. He was an outstanding example for all who desire to please our God and Father in heaven. We're also affiliated with the Northeast Conference of the Church of God, a fellowship of churches in southern Ontario and in the northeastern United States. We are bound together by the theme: "If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." -- Galatians 3:29.
